The big variety of small hexagonal jars is coming with the popularity of them in the UK. This is the second classic popular shape, after the round jars.

As of the small capacity, 50 ml hexagonal small glass jars with lids can be used for different purposes. Together, with small other jars, can be used as wedding favours jars or as jam jars, chutney jars, marmalade jars or honey sample jar to a potential bulk buyer.

As a curiosity, hexagonal mini small jars with lids weren't popular at all in Western Europe, since the '90s. Predominantly people there were using round big jars, starting with 250 ml. Small jars weren't almost used. Only at the beginning of this century, did the small glass jars become more popular, being used as wedding flavours mostly.
