Also, the great thing about this recipe is that you can make a large batch and store it in your freezer using a glass jam jar.

Let's get started, shall we?

Ingredients

For the ingredients, all you need are pretty simple items that you can pick from any grocery store close to you. Don't forget about a jam jar as well, if you do not have it home. You'll need a jam jar lid as well.

You need onion, maple syrup, garlic, brown sugar, Apple cider vinegar (for a bit of acidity), and chilli powder to spice it all up. And the star of the show- Bacon.

How To Prepare

You only need 30 minutes to get this goodness ready for you and your family!

Let me show you how it's done.

  1. Cook bacon until it turns crispy. Try not to overcook it. Cook over medium heat for 10 minutes. Set it aside when it's done.
  2. Saute onion in bacon fat.  Then, add brown sugar to caramelise the onions.
  3. Add some garlic, maple syrup, chilli powder, vinegar and the crispy bacon. Stir together while cooking on medium heat till it becomes thick and jam-like.
  4. Let it cool, then transfer to a glass jam jar. Ideally, you can store it in the fridge for 2 weeks and in the refrigerator for 6 weeks.

I hope you LOVE this bacon jam recipe! It's actually: Comforting, Satisfying, Delicious and Easy to make!
